Global Real Estate Leader Brendan Brown Joins Forces with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brendan Brown Becomes Ambassador of The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Championing a Legacy of Visibility, Recovery, and Global Impact

Beverly Hills, CA — Brendan Brown, one of Los Angeles’ leading luxury real estate agents and a nationally recognized advocate for dignity, recovery, and inclusion, has been named an Ambassador of The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. His appointment reflects a continued commitment to courageous philanthropy and personal transformation in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

As a luxury real estate agent based in Beverly Hills, Brown has long worked alongside some of the world’s most influential voices in philanthropy. From early volunteer work with endangered species in South Africa to co-founding the Young Professionals Committee of Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, and ongoing leadership roles with amfAR, GLAAD, and The Invictus Games Foundation, his mission has always been rooted in visibility and justice for the unseen and underserved.

The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation was established in 1991 by Elizabeth Taylor to provide direct care and bold advocacy for people living with HIV and AIDS. Years earlier, she had emerged as one of the first public figures to speak out about the crisis, testifying before Congress in support of the Ryan White CARE Act. Her activism helped ignite a global movement grounded in compassion, urgency, and visibility.

Brown now joins that movement as an official Ambassador, carrying forward the same values Taylor championed. He emphasizes that as a gay man in recovery, Elizabeth Taylor’s bold refusal to stay silent—about both the AIDS crisis and her own treatment—offered him a roadmap for survival. Eventually, her decision to enter treatment at the Betty Ford Center helped pave the path for him to do the same, transforming what once felt like shame into something powerful, public, and life-saving.

Even years after her death, Elizabeth’s example remained a guidepost. When I reached the point of needing help, her legacy helped carry me through the door. That’s a legacy that doesn’t just change lives—it saves them.

Brown’s global philanthropic work spans continents and causes. Appointed as Sentinel of The Invictus Games Foundation and Senior Patron of Sentebale by The Duke of Sussex, he works closely with Prince Harry on campaigns rooted in healing, inclusion, and mental health—advancing the same humanitarian values once embodied by Princess Diana. His role with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation is a natural extension of that commitment. It’s about standing with those who are unseen and making sure they’re never forgotten.

Brown is known not only for his record-breaking luxury listings across Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Montecito, and New York, but for his unique ability to bridge industries—connecting high-net-worth individuals, cultural leaders, and artists to causes that matter. One of my greatest strengths has always been connection, he said. Whether it’s real estate or global philanthropy, I help people turn intention into impact. That’s how real change happens.

While medical advancements have made it possible to end AIDS, Brown underscores that access—not innovation—is the true crisis. Until every person—regardless of who they are or where they live—can receive testing, treatment, and support, people will continue to die from a preventable disease, he said. That’s not acceptable. And it’s not inevitable. We can fix this.

As an Ambassador, Brown will support the Foundation’s global mission to expand access, fight stigma, and champion Elizabeth Taylor’s legacy through concrete action. Every dollar donated directly funds testing, treatment, advocacy, and care for those most in need.

This isn’t branding. This isn’t charity for show. This is personal. And it’s permanent, Brown said. Let’s finish the work Elizabeth started—and make history together.
