Founded in London by Central Saint Martins alum Amelia Burrough, Amélioré is redefining the language of soft furnishings. Her sculptural cushions, hand-tailored in South London from British eco wool bouclé, are less about trend and more about tension — between form and comfort, restraint and emotion.
I felt it immediately. Bouclé has long been a personal obsession — not just for its tactility, but for its quiet power. I think back to the black-and-white bouclé coat I brought home from Mike Amiri’s first Paris show. It remains one of my most prized sartorial pieces — structured, graphic, and full of emotional gravity. It’s not just clothing — it’s story. That’s what Amélioré brings to the home.
I’ve styled with Society Limonta and The Citizenry. I love their softness, their weight. But Amélioré is different. These pieces — Le Carré, Le Cylindre — are architecture in miniature.
