Mogul Haim Saban Lists Oceanfront Malibu Home for $75 Million.
Entertainment mogul Haim Saban, the creator of the iconic TV series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” is listing his oceanfront home in Malibu, Calif., for $75 million. Saban and his wife, Cheryl Saban, purchased the Carbon Beach property in the 1990s.
Sitting on roughly half an acre with about 120 feet of ocean frontage, the home has been the site of countless dinners, screening parties, weekend getaways, and birthday celebrations over the last two decades, Haim said.
“We absolutely loved it—and still do,” said Haim, the CEO and founder of Saban Capital. But the couple has been traveling more often, and they don’t spend much time there, he said.
The roughly 11,000-square-foot modern home features nine bedrooms, an indoor gym, and two offices. The living room has an in-wall projector and a retractable movie screen for viewing parties.
The Sabans live primarily in Los Angeles. After buying the Malibu house, which was over 20 years old at the time, they kept the footprint but changed everything else. Cheryl took the lead on the project. “My wife did it all,” Haim said. “She turned it from an empty box into a beautiful home.”
The house has a cream stucco exterior and a porte-cochere. Inside, it has white walls, dark wood flooring, skylights, and retractable glass doors that open to oceanfront decks, according to the listing agent

A large deck on the main level has a staircase leading to the beach, a pool overlooking the ocean, and an outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue.
Before the Sabans decided to sell the house, they put it on the rental market. “We decided to see if we could gradually separate from it,” Haim said.
The home asks for around $200,000 a month as a long-term rental and $300,000 a month for short-term stays, according to Cortazzo, who also represents the rental listing. He said the home has been rented several times as a short-term rental.
In L.A. in the 1980s, Haim founded a chain of recording studios that created songs for television series. In 1988, he started Saban Entertainment, an international television production, distribution, and merchandising company. Haim has produced TV series including “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and “X-Men: The Animated Series.” He sold Power Rangers and other brands to Hasbro in a deal valued at $522 million in 2018, according to his team.
He launched Saban Capital, an L.A.-based global investment firm, in 2001.
The most expensive home for sale in Malibu is currently asking $95 million.
A home in the city recently sold for $210 million, setting a home sale record in California, according to Cortazzo.
